I think it's already time for a native Linux client... if it's already in Mac and soon in consoles and mobiles why not Ubuntu?item 3194

Because mac users are by the norm.. normies and sound engineers. linux users are a lot more ballsy in number compared.. we compile what you download.

as a power user a mac is the last thing on my list to get a job done.

That makes zero sense... most software dev shops code on *nix (at least every developer I know prefers it, or at least Mac, for some of them). It has nothing to do with security, it has everything to do with using effort more efficiently. Porting a game to *nix is a significant undertaking and then management of that code adds to the maintenance burden. People complain about how long it takes to fix bugs now, imagine if they needed to fix them for three platforms, instead of one.

"oMg WhY wOuLd ThEy FoCuS oN tHaT?" Answer: No excuse. They don't correctly allocate resources anywhere, if they did we'd have a functioning client.

I believe that there's a higher chance of getting a Linux port than a New stable client

I'm pretty sure that the number of Linux users who are into gaming and yet don't have a Windows machine is probably near zero. The number of Linux users who would play LoL on Linux if given the chance isn't much higher.

There's a difference between liking one thing and disliking another thing. Do you know where there's a group of hardcore Linux fans? Microsoft. That's why they're doing so much with WSL and open source.

Now yes.. true. Microsoft originally referred to open source as evil. but they learned there is a lot of code to steal on github. and now power shell looks like a linux cli
