Counter Picks in Ranked SoloQ

Hello. I am writing this message because i am against counter picks. More often than not, some players can easily win their lane because they see their oponents' picks and take counter to them. This isnt fair at all, the win is based on luck as a result, and the player who will counter the other will win the lane. Thats why i have a suggestion for this fact which i regard that its the most fair of all (you will judge if it is indeed right to enforce such rule). Every player after the accept match, must ban 1 champion (if wants) for 20 seconds. After this, every player must pick 10 Champions in 90 seconds with the sequence he wants but all players in the same time (like the Blind Pick but now players choose 10 Champions not 1). After these selections, the 1st player lock in their 1st selection of the 10 Champions he chose (system lock it automatically). The 1st player in opponent team, after the locking of the 1st player, lock automatically their 1st selection but if the 1st player picked the same Champion, system automatically locks in the 2nd selection of the player. Afterwards, 2nd player of the 1st team locks automatically their 1st selection of 10 Champion. If the previous 2 players (the teamate and the opponent) picked the same 2 Champions he has selected of the 10, then automatically system picks the 3rd Champion of the Player in Team 1 and it continues so. Players must choose 10 Champions because if the previous 9 select the 9 first champions he wanted, which is impossible but you never know, then he has the last Champion to pick. I think this system is fair and it isnt based on luck who that is to say is 1st and the other must counter him and win the lane so easy. In this way, the game will be based as well on skills. Only if somebody finds randomly the counter of the opponent, he can win the lane which isnt so possible comparing to this system in which it happened in every game. Now players have less posibillities to counter opponents and win the lane easy. What do u believe about my suggestion?

Winning by counterpicks is winning by skill, though. Counterpicking shows that you have a solid understanding of your opponent and know how to play against their weaknesses. The luck of pick order doesn't diminish that actual skill.

Besides; counters - hard and soft - are part of the intricate, interwoven systems that make the game balanced. Champions having counters in some way, shape, or form make them effectively more balanced than if they had no counters at all. So not only are counterpicks a marginal skilltest in League, but they're also a balance factor.

If you don't want to get counterpicked, then you're probably best off playing Blind Pick (where neither team sees their opponents picks until everybody's locked in a selection) or ARAM (where all Champions are randomized with a reroll bench.) Otherwise, you're simply going to have to learn to play around the potential to be countered; ban your Champions known counters, or play around them. It's part of the game, and asking that it be removed greatly diminishes the overall skill involved in League.

You need to have safe picks in your arsenal for when you have an early pick. If you're hell bent on playing Vayne (as an example) and you're first pick, you get what you deserve if you lock in.

I'm a support main. I will rarely lock in Thresh as my first pick or I'm going to get a Leona or Morgana counter pick.

If you think draft pick "isn't fair," then you need to play blind pick. Nobody is entitled to an easy win. You have to earn it.
