Let's talk a bit about the french boards and Riot France

Hello,

I am LordStegosaurus, ex-emissary from the French Volunteer Program and I want to raise Important issues about the french volunteer program and Riot France.

Everything started around early November. 6 members of the community were banned from the French Boards Discord by one Junior Volunteer for no valid reasons. Those people managed to talk to Riot France about those issues (A 23 pages PDF was written to talk about all the issues with the French Volunteer Program and some of its members) and Riot did nothing.

Meanwhile, Senior and Regular Volunteers members made a vote to exclude this Junior Volunteer (We were 6 in total, 4 voted for the exclusion of this Junior Volunteer and 2 decided to cast a blank vote) and Riot decided to ignore this vote.

Those issues were still here and a part of the community was very vocal about it. Riot France was still protecting the Junior Volunteer and the other members responsible for those issues, and quickly the part of the community that was complaining was labelled as "toxic". Several people from the so-called "toxic" part of community were harrased (Including people being suicidal), an ex-volunteer who left the program because of the shitstorm was also harassed, she went to the hospital multiple times due to anxiety attack, and when she pleaded Riot France to do something to calm down the situation, she was told to "stop faking it". It ultimately lead to the end of the French Volunteer Program and every volunteers lost their status and the right to moderate the boards. To make sure that the French Forum still have some sort of moderation, Riot France told us that french-speaking volunteers from other countries would take care of it. It was a lie. We found out that an ex-volunteer still had the right to moderate the boards

Right now, it's impossible to talk with the mods, when we create a discussion to talk about the moderation, it's deleted almost instantly. When we contact the support about this, we are told that we have to talk to ex-volunteers (which are supossed to have nothing to do with the current moderation) and when we contact them, they don't want to answer. There is also some members of the community (those who were opposed to the so-called "toxic" part of the community) that are priviliged by Riot France. When there is downvote on their discussion, the votes are locked, when there are too many comments that are in opposition with their discussion, the comments are locked. The moderation is clearly taking sides.

While I sympathize with your situation, there isn't anything we can do as volunteer moderators. We passed your concern on to Riot.

Thank you very much. Even if the chances that Riot will look into this are small, I still have hope we can save the French boards.

En français, parce que ça ne concerne pas vraiment les autres (bon, ptet aussi que l'english ça prend too much time).

Je réitère: Enwei, t'es en train de déconner. Si tu te mets à filer directement ton compte à Tsuba, c'est une violation de ton contrat et une faille de sécurité. Les seniors nous avaient explicitement et lourdement spécifié que ça, c'était une raison très sérieuse pour te virer ton statut. Je suppose que si là ça passe, c'est parce que Riot Tina a décidé de s'occuper de tout ça alors que sa hiérarchie en a toujours rien à foutre. Je commence sérieusement à croire que Tsuba est vraiment stupide (désolé Tsuba, mais dire aux joueurs que les questions de modo forum se règlent au support c'était complètement con), mais à priori toi tu devrais commencer à voir que ça part en vrille, là.

Qu'on soit clair: actuellement, la modo est soit gérée par un imbécile, soit par quelqu'un qui règle ses petites affaires (ou celle d'un autre). Pour l'exemple, on peut juste regarder les décisions de modération envers DP il y a quelques temps, ou juste ceux de Lord of Nether il y a quelques heures. Enwei, tu dois être le seul à avoir de l'implication là dedans et un semblant de bon sens: fais quelque chose.

En passant, juste une petite note concernant le forum: que certaines personnes se battent pour des questions de pouvoir, peu importe... si ça vous amuse, allez y. Mais il y en a d'autres qui veulent juste faire leur truc, et faisant partie de ceux là j'apprécierais hautement avoir la paix.

I repeat: Enwei, you're screwing up. If you start giving your account directly to Tsuba, it's a breach of your contract and a security breach. The seniors had explicitly and heavily specified that this was a very serious reason to fire you. I guess the reason it's okay is because Riot Tina decided to take care of all this when his hierarchy still doesn't give a shit. I'm seriously starting to think Tsuba is really stupid (sorry Tsuba, but telling players that modo forum issues are resolved at support was completely stupid), but a priori you should start to see that it's going to hell there.

Let us be clear: at the moment, the modo is either managed by an idiot, or by someone who settles his own little matters (or someone else's). For the example, we can just look at the moderation decisions towards DP some time ago, or just those of Lord of Nether a few hours ago. Enwei, you must be the only one with any involvement in this and a semblance of common sense: do something.

By the way, just a little note about the forum: that some people fight for power issues, no matter... if you like it, go ahead. But there are others who just want to do their thing, and being one of those I would highly appreciate peace.

Please, Rioter from NA, change our current moderation. Does Riot agree with the behavior of moderators who do not supress phishing thread until we shout on the board "PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD", but who instant delete threads which raise about their way to moderate ?

Sorry, but if you read this, i have to put my opinion in French, because it's not bearable anymore. THIS -- THE SITUATION ON FRENCH BOARDS -- have to change, as soon as possible. Everything we said is moderate by a Moderation, that just :

In the best case, delete our message. In a bad way, delete our message and block votes on the topic. In the worst case, delete all the messages posted on the topic, block votes, and block any new incoming posts. The only right left we have is reading.

Please, if you read this Riot NA, do something for French Boards. Please. We need a change of our moderation.

Maintenant, c'est rapport aux messages, et topics. Dès que ça va à l'encontre de leurs idéologies, parce qu'ils sont dans un "soucis d'éliminer" la partie toxicité du Forum FR, ils ne se rendent pas comptent qu'ils la rendent encore plus toxique, et moins libre. Non, mais c'est vrai quoi ! On ne peux plus RIEN. DIRE.

On a juste le droit de lire, plus de parler, ni de s'exprimer. Ça en devient juste ridicule.

Un moment, et je veux pas paraître méchant dans l'histoire hein (parce qu'il y'a aussi un fond humain à ça), mais ce serais bien que la branche NA de Riot commence à se bouger, et a virer tout ses conards de Riot France (Juste les conards hein, y'a des gens très bien à RiotFR... enfin, j'espère). Quand après "l'histoire", il n'y a pas eu de conséquences "visible" (parce que si ça se trouve, c'était juste un remontage de bretelles et basta), ça casse juste les couilles.

On aimerait bien avoir des gens passionnés, et qui ont envie de faire ce qu'il font sur le Forum FR. Pas des branquignoles qui doivent modérer un forum juste parce qu'on leurs a dit de le faire. Dans ce cas là, laissez ce taf aux gens qui veulent vraiment le bien de la communauté. Genre, des vraies.

Dude, ton amertume est compréhensible mais je crois pas que ce soit le sujet... La modération, c'est pas le truc de Kyo (et en vrai, si ils ont la bienveillance de Riot, c'est une bonne nouvelle pour la commu hein).

Pas sûr qu'ils aient une once de bienveillance. Peut-être, mais elle reste à prouver. J'ai dit ce que j'avais à dire, partout, que ce soit ici ou sur le forum FR. J'vais suivre le reste de loin.

Bah si, son truc bénéficie d'un soutien indéniable de Riot. C'est diffusé sur Twitter, c'est perma épinglé sur le forum, ... Ça c'est une bonne chose pour eux et ça ne fait de mal à personne, et c'est objectivement un plus pour la commu.

Maintenant, c'est à distinguer des dérives évidentes de la modo en ce moment. Il y a des rapprochements suspects, mais c'est la modo qui déconne, pas les orgas de l'event.

A few weeks ago, my best friend posted a thread on the French Boards -- to ask people on their opinions -- in relation with an event which happened in one of his game (A Garen's ultimate, which dealt 1650 true damages). He had some proofs on what he was talking about, but unfortunately, nobody believed him. As a result of this altercation with other people on "Why Garen is potentially O.P.?", his post had been fully-blocked 30 mins later, which means we weren't able to speak on his topic [sg-ahri-3]

Liar.

We asked how many hp he had just before the ult and never got any answer regarding that. He was playing renekton, with his ult up and low hp, 1.6k isn't much. In fact it's really overkill, and most of the damages aren't usefull
We talked about : He was the criminal. So every AA, every garen's E tick is 1%max hp as true damages. Death recap show total damages from ult, passive + active in the same spot.
