@Wuks: Would it be possible to fix your upvotes?

Recently, I noticed that due to your automatic syncing system you have gotten overwhelmingly the most upvotes on the boards. 322.1k vs my 211.8k. Now, I know this system was not built to farm upvotes, and that it has done plenty of good. However, a side effect of your automatic system is that you are now getting upvotes at a speed that is impossible for anyone else to keep up with without having to do anything to earn them.

I know it may seem petty, but I only got the most upvotes after years of consistent posting on the boards. It is a small thing, but it is something I earned like a badge of honor for my time posting. And it feels pretty bad to lose that due to a mod tool that automatically generates upvotes.

This is no different than saying "Imagine caring at all about your rank" "Have you monetized your platinum rank? Have you gained anything special other than showing off what rank you have? get over it". Why be an ass about something someone worked for.

At least most of his posts - Even the shitpost posts, are entertaining or informative or whatever, rather than posting pure controversy and garbage nonsense to farm upvotes, like some other users do.

But theoretically that IS a skill of sorts. Albeit a useless one - Just as useless as being good at league for 99.9% of us. It's a fine line between trolling enough to get upvotes, and just offending/annoying people.

Not that I'm endorsing anything, I'm basically just saying... Well, Don't be a dick.

No, but using it properly is. Just like being able to spell isn't a "skill" in general, since everyone should learn to do it, yet some do it better than others. Just spamming nonsense Gifs won't get you anywhere. Posting the right one at the right time though, that'll get you upvotes.

I don't even use the vote system, so it's irrelevant to me. There's just no need to be an ass about it when it doesn't effect you whatsoever. What's so bad about life that you have to come take it out on random strangers? It's a game, enjoy yourself.

I just checked, and this will be a super easy fix. So as to not break the automatic syncing feature, the upvote count fix won't be made until some updates are made to the Boards; however, once it is made, we'll be able to re-adjust my upvotes to about 25k-ish.

Ayyyy thanks! I know it is a small and intrinsically meaningless thing, but it is basically the only thing I’ve got to show for years on the boards lol

EDIT: I think I may have fixed it without needing to roll out an update- will have to keep an eye on it.
