Can’t we just get the same forum engine as the Brazilian?

The Boards have been in beta for like 4 years now. All we see is design changes, and that’s pretty cool and all, but I think now it’s just putting band-aid on a broken leg. 4 years people. Riot clearly don’t care enough to further develop it.

Check out guys the Brazilian forums. It looks so much cooler imho, and it looks like does more in functionality. So I would like to propose using the same forum engine as the Brazilian forum.

If you disagree, could we at least have the “BETA” tag removed please? It’s physically hurting my eyes.

personally I do not like that the comments are only seen chronologically

You can change it in your preferences, just set the language to English. I was using Google Translate to navigate on the site until I found out that I can change the interface language to English (“Idioma”).

Out of curiosity -- what options do they have that we don't? I believe all the boards are build on the same code, but I could be incorrect here.

This one uses Lithium. I don’t know that engine, but I certainly know that there are a few options that could come handy.

Just took a quick look, so these might not be all. Take a look at the options. You can change display language, date format, timezone, default editor to use for posts: Rich Text Editor, HTML Editor (I presume HTML formatting is available to the public), you can use signatures; Show private information in profile to: All, Friends Only, No one; then you can change online status where the options are the same as the previous list; you can change discussion layout to: Threaded, Oldest first, Newest first. You can also use HTML formatting for comments. Pretty neat tbh.

There are a few options: https://forum.br.leagueoflegends.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-preferences just set the interface language to English if it’s in Portuguese. Since I don’t speak the language, I had to use Google Translate to figure out how to change the language. You can find it by “Idioma”.
