Diana's Identity Crisis
I'm a huge fan of Diana and her general kit idea, but I feel it needs a true identity and an update into the current mobility meta.
My ideas:
- Identity.
I am a huge fan of Diana as a fighter role, but her lackluster shield doesn't make up for the sustain other fighters naturally get or can build. Can we get a buff to her shield, combined with a nerf to her Ult damage and possibly Q damage, changing her from an awkward assassin to a sticky sustained damage fighter? Her passive would then get more love, she could make better use of her low cooldown Q, and her shield would provide an interesting alternative to the lifesteal requirement on fighters.
To give her some fluff... some sort of theme, I propose we give her a new Ult and move her dash to her E (more on the specifics and reasoning later). The ult I would love to see on her is a localised eclipse. Reduce vision for enemies close to you, and give Diana a steroid of some kind, like attack speed or resistances, as she thrives under the lack of sunshine.
2.Update
Diana was built for the jungle. Her whole kit screams jungling, but that was back in S2. The vast majority of decent junglers nowadays have some sort of move speed boost or gapcloser pre-6. I propose we move her dash to her E, and remove her mass pull entirely. She would then need a nerf to her dash's damage, but that's reasonable for better ganking pre-6. This gives her less hard CC, but more sticky-ness, the new ult brings in more non-traditional CC, and she gets an early gapcloser to keep up with the meta.
