A short story: Vi vs. Lee Sin
*Note: I don't write stories for fun o-o. This is something I did on impulse xD.
It had been only 5 minutes since the beginning of the match, but already Vi was busy punching wolves and demolishing powerful golems and lizards almost twice as large as her. As she felt her strength and stamina increase for a 5th time she paused to take a sip of her last healing potion. After helping out her fellow Piltover law-enforcers Caitlyn and Jayce in the bottom lane of the map, Vi felt it was time to return to base so that she could recover and then head back to into the place she called her second home, so that she could continue her assault on the inhabitants of The Summoner's Rift.
As she twirled her baton in her left hand and waited for the blue aura to transport to her team's base, she fleetingly questioned whether she should stay and secure the two golems that she knew were easy kills. “Nah,” she thought. “I’ll buy some items and come back for them.”
Back at base she walked over to the shopkeeper, grinning as he scurried around to bring items up front that would be beneficial to her. “I see that you've got all the parts needed to create the Spirit of the Elder Lizard,” he noted. His beady eyes glanced briefly over the golden charm that hung from Vi’s neck before turning his gaze toward his mobile shop. “That’ll be 580 gold.” he remarked tersely. After Vi dropped the coins that she had gathered into the barrel labeled “Arbitrary game currency”, the shopkeeper took the metal gauntlets off of her arms. After muttering something about yordles under his breath, he disappeared into his wooden cart. Vi waited patiently, examining her now uncovered hands. When the shopkeeper emerged out of his cart, Vi’s eyes lit up when she saw what he had brought her.
In front of her lay an almost completely transformed pair of hextech gauntlets. Studded with orange crystals on the knuckles and a re-finished metal surface, the re-designed gauntlets emanated a blue essence and when Vi slid them on over her arms she felt even more powerful than before. She grinned and licked her lips as she thought of the carnage she could now cause to the creatures which lay beyond the stone of the base.
After thanking the shopkeeper Vi rushed out of the base, eager to continue her previous ventures. As she made her way to the den of wolves on her side of the map, she wondered when she’d finally meet a worthy opponent. She would not have to wait much longer.
As Vi began punching her way through the wolves, she felt pure ecstasy from how easily she could dispatch the creatures. Suddenly a pulse of pure sound hit her from the back and she paused from her punching to turn around. It was too late, however, as her assailant came flying in with a kick that knocked her back into a tree. She barely had time to stand up before the enemy, which she could now see as Lee Sin, was on her, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks at her.
Vi and Lee Sin traded blows, each using their unique abilities to try to out-duel each other. Vi soon gained the upper hand, however, with her empowered punches and pure strength. Lee Sin slammed his open palm into the ground, causing Vi to stagger back as she was blasted with a powerful magic shockwave. Recovering quickly, Vi readied another punch when she was suddenly overcome with a feeling of weakness, which slowed her movement and reaction time. This small moment of weakness allowed Lee Sin the time that he needed to begin to make an escape. When Vi recovered from her ailment she quickly reared her left arm and focused her energy into the now fractured gauntlet. After a second she threw her arm forward with all of her might, the gauntlet carrying her forward across the forest towards Lee Sin. In the split second that she had, she switched her right gauntlet into the targeting mode that made her gauntlets feared by many. As her left momentum slowed down she activated her right gauntlet. The lights on each gauntlet turned on and the built in sirens blared as she flew, on auto pilot, towards Lee Sin.
Within two seconds she had caught up. As she reached Lee Sin she grabbed him and jumped up into the air. Her left gauntlet glowed with pure energy as she flew it back in apprehension for the inevitable. Lee Sin struggled in her grip as the two rushed upwards. As she reached the climax of the jump Vi let go of Lee Sin, positioning herself above his body in mid-air. As gravity took effect Vi threw her left arm down as hard as possible. Lee Sin could do nothing as the full power of Vi’s gauntlet released itself upon his muscular frame, breaking ribs and tearing skin.
As they hit the ground a shockwave with ten times the magnitude of Lee Sin’s threw up and distorted the Earth around the two, Lee Sin’s body being the only cushion between Vi and the ground. As Vi stood up, breathing heavily, she smiled as she looked around at the wreckage she had caused. She glanced down at the now still body of Lee Sin.
“Looks like I caught you red-handed,” she said, a hint of self-satisfaction in her voice.
Tell me what you thought, I'd love feedback and whatnot. And tell me if you'd like to see more o3o
