Ward Skins

Is this the right place to post about ward skins?

Whose idea was it to give Warding Totem a unique ward skin? Why was this done? Did somebody think it's gameplay relevant that you be able to visually distinguish a trinket ward from a store-bought one?

Wards have their little timeout bar, I don't see why a trinket ward should need to look different. Not only do they look different, but they look ugly as sin. Such a stupid yellow flower thing, why does it exist? I just don't understand. It fills me with disappointment to look at the warding totem's little yellow flower, when I could be looking at my stumpy cool deadfall ward instead :[

Why can't our trinkets drop wards skinned as we like?

I can understand not wanting to throw out existing assets, why not repurpose the existing warding totem skin to a reward unlocked after you drop 500 wards, or something like that? I don't know, I don't really care what happens to the warding totem's current yellow flower skin.

While it does need an indicator ( maybe a yellow eye) because trinkets can have different durations than regular wards, the trinket not using the ward skins was definately a poor decision in my opinion.

That being said, I would buy a ward skin that did all three (trinket, sight, and vision ) in the plant theme. Much good on Zyra methinks.
