Viktor [Passive] Ideas

Hey,

This is my first time on this particular forum and I wanted to offer for discussion some of my ideas for Viktor's passive.

**Viktor's Identity: ** I believe that a champion's passive a great way to add personality and playstyle depth. In Viktor's case I feel like his "Evolving Technology" passive is an amazing opportunity to detail Viktor's personality. From what I gather...

Viktor is...a mad scientist, an obsessive perfectionist, arrogant.

And I love all these things about him. So how might we extend this mind set to his passive? My suggestion is to make his "Hex Core" an immense item tree with multiple build pathways and add-ons.

What Would the Hex Core Offer? -Allows players to over the course of the match augment and fine tune all their abilities for a cost (gold) -Makes Viktor adaptable/customizable while extending the fantasy of experimenting to players -A player choice... "Do I spend money augmenting myself or buying other items?"

**Imagine: ** Being able to boost your mana and ability power by pouring money into your Hex Core **Augmenting **abilities for special effects! Think Shrink Ray instead of Death Ray, think Repulsion Field instead of Gravity Field, think longer silence duration on Chaos Storm

There is a lot of creativity that could be implemented with this new idea of "Hex Core" being this singular object that can continuously be upgraded based on player decision. Players could choose to ignore it all together and go with traditional builds but I feel like the tediousness of experimenting and self-improvement is a core part of Viktor's fantasy that hasn't be explored yet.

TLDR: Viktor's passive should be changed to allow more options for Viktor players - such changes can be stat upgrades or ability upgrades. Think Rengar Bonenecklace+Khazix Evolution

Let me know what you think!

I think this may be a good approach especially when compared to other champs his kit seems lack luster in power in all stages of the game compared to other mids. However, I would recommend adding actives to the augments especially since some people find the item a waste of an item slot. You could also add the idea that you had about evolution as you level up or stack kills, the augment has more effects. Really compliments the theme of Viktor very well especially with evolution.

It would be neat if the actives acted like weaker versions of the summoner spells...

Power: acting like a lesser version of heal or barrier

Gravity: acting like a lesser version of cleanse or exhaust

Death: acting like potentially as a weaker version of DFG

I wouldn't like to see him overloaded with utility, though I do think having a host of options would pay homage to a paranoid scientist that has a contingency for everything.

I like this idea a lot. His passive is: "Evolving Technology" so it makes sense that the player can upgrade the hex core more than once. Since the hex core already takes up an item slot and is also his passive, the items themselves should be very strong and provide useful stats that can be upgraded throughout the game (Of course there would have to be some limit to keep his lategame in check).

How about every time you level up you can add a bonus stat to your hex core

  • Power-1 pt=1%damage reduction or 1% spellvamp
  • Gravity-1 pt-increase the the effectiveness of his slow by 2% or 1% cooldown reduction
  • Death-1 pt=2% magic penetration

You can pour all you point into one stat or balance it out

You can also upgrade to the Augmented form but the stat would have to be nerf to balance the extra stat from leveling up
