A perfect contrast, except for the offensive part. No, none of the examples you have listed I find 'offensive', and that therein is the problem with them as examples. They don't fit.
I would find this skin as it is here offensive. Plain and simple.
The fact that you don't seem to understand this, and don't seem to want to even try to understand it, does not make it any more appealing.
This is not a case of changing fire into ice. I never said I dislike the darklight/void-touched idea. Just the opposite. What I take offense to is the implementation of this particular outfit design. I actually applauded the color scheme, and most the rest of the concept, just thought it should be done with a slightly different aesthetic.
I don't see why this is such a difficult concept, or why you feel the need to prove my opinion/taste 'wrong' by citing irrelevant examples.
I'm also not alone in my opinion, as evidenced by just how many people have made almost the exact same complaint. If I were alone in my opinion, I would back off, and let Riot do its thing, but seeing as at least 40% of the posters here have said something very similar, I'm trying to put a more detailed voice to the complaint.
