Question: Why is there no Voodoo Champion?

Back in the beta, there was a Champion named Tabu in the works, but he was scrapped and his kit was, IIRC, turned into Swain's kit.

This leads me to ask why there hasn't been a Voodoo-based Champion made yet. If it's an issue of "a black man with a chicken bone in his nose? That's racist!", then how about this?

What if instead of the Voodoo Witch Doctor, you are the Voodoo GOD? That'd be a lot more kickass, right? Check the attached image to see what I mean.

If I had to guess, a Voodoo champion might not exist due to the fact that Riot releases their champions in numerous regions around the world and thus interacts with numerous cultures as well. Given the connotations and stories that are associated with Voodoo it might not be feasible for them to institute a champion based around it in other regions.

Again, just a thought, I'm neither an expert on Voodoo nor am I an expert on the culture of every other region.

I think it would be cool if they made a Voodoo champion.

Obviously they wouldn't NAME it "XXXX, the Voodoo Lord" or something. But it should have semi-clear inspiration.

Maybe based on Baron Samedi, the Haitian God?

Not sure if I'm blaspheming by mention Blizzard's MOBA they're working on, but they have a concept for a champ that works by possessing minions and champions within a certain range and he can cast his abilities from them. I believe to balance this they limit his personal mobility and his body is left exposed. I believe he also take a portion of the damage his host takes.

He assumed full control of minions, but he can't move champions or pets around.

I actually literally just got done writing a champion concept of a voodoo person, i wrote it on the old forums but maybe i can transfer it over Heide the Voodoo Master is currently the threads name, i guess check it out and see if it's kinda like what you are thinking of?
