I constantly have to manually reconnect or restart my client multiple times at the beginning of most games because the "attemping to reconnect" message is a lie. This is not a problem with my internet as I am able to stay connected to Skype and browse the internet without a hitch.
Same issue. Please address.

Even a ping spike that lasts a fraction of a second means exiting out and starting again. WTF Riot
I have been having this issue a lot today! In the middle of the game it will say "attempting to reconnect" after it lags even a little bit and then I sit there for about 10 minutes and it never reconnects so I have to exit through task manager and then it says the game had been won when it seems like that game couldn't have been won in 10 minutes so it can't reconnect me. Then it counts me as "leaving" when I'm sitting there waiting for it to reconnect me, which doesn't feel fair. My internet connection is good and I won't have a problem for like 4-5 games and then all of a sudden...that one game and it lags ever so slightly...nothing major and then disconnects me.

Happening to me too, makes the game pretty much unplayable now as I get killed and fall behind when this happens multiple times per game.
I'm usually the last to accuse Riot of neglect, but when there are so many posts on this, and even a reddit post on /r/leagueoflegends that got over 2500 upvotes, and still no response from Riot, I would naturally get upset. I planned to climb a couple divisions, and play enough ranked 5s to get the ward skin, but none of that can happen until this patch gets fixed. I can't even play with my friends because of it. Occasional ping spikes are bearable, but when I have to close out and reconnect every time that happens, the game becomes unplayable. This is especially bad considering the state of my computer, and specifically the amount of time it takes me to connect to game. I really want to keep playing this game, but until there is some solution to this problem, I'm not going to jeopardize 4 other players' games because of it.
I have the same issue and it last for 20 minutes and it wont stop at all and if i want to quit the game i will be banned or punished i dont like this at all and i want to know what causes this problem because it is very annoying
