Crash on loading Screen, 5.16-5.17

So I play league on a macbook and I have been getting a "cannot connect to the server please check your connection" crash every time after Champion Select. I go through champ select, it pulls up the second window and instead of showing the character splash arts it's just a black screen and then after a few seconds the error appears and it won't reconnect. When it pulls up the second window it does take a few more seconds that what should be normally instantaneous and the loading "beachball" icon appears on my mouse. I have tried everything I can think of to try and fix this, my internet settings were already set to what they need to be, my firewall doesn't block league, and internet isn't dropping randomly ( I think). I even uninstalled and reinstalled league twice, and the problem is still there. I noticed that the problem only appeared with the release of Patch 5.16, and is still present in 5.17. Is this a common problem that has been happening to Mac users? Everyone else that I know plays on pc and haven't had any of these problems.

i'm having a similar problem except mine says its the firewall and its random. i can play some games then it dc's me. i will let you know if i get any feedback about my problem.

I also play LoL (EUW) on a Macbook Pro and I have the same problem. After the champion select I get a black screen and I can't do anything to enter the game. Sometimes I can play for some minutes and then it crashes. Then, LoL client don't open, so I have to reinstall it. I have checked all my internet configurations, I have reinstalled the game twice and I have also played it on my iMac, getting the same problems. I think there must be a problem with 5.17 patch...

I've been having the same issue. Ever since the new patch I've been unable to play any games because I "cannot connect". I'm almost certain at this point that it has to be the patch. I'm going to try reinstalling but thus far nothing has worked

Also, I'm playing on PC

Same here I tried going into a game pick and pick a champ but once I get to the loading screen my screen turns black and get a message telling me to check my connection and retry

Im having the same problem and it has been 5days and still nothing I have tried everything but I can play every other online games but not LoL cause of this error or bug and im not playing on Macbook

I have this same problem when I attempt to load into the game. I have tried re-installing, updating my drivers, repairing, and disabling my firewall to no avail. (On PC)

I have the same problem and a solution: I did experiment a lot and the only fix I found so far is to restart my PC. After the restart the game loads without any problems but you will lose some in-game time. I restart my PC as soon as the champ select is over and "only" miss the first wave.

So i have not been able to play any League games since the new patch 5.23-5.24 came, can it depend on me having upgraded my windows to windows 10?
