I was playing Alistar and when I went to do the combo on sivir she was able to spell shield the entire combo. She was not stunned or knocked back and took no damage. Has anyone else experienced this? Is her spell shield supposed to do that?
When you're comboing, you don't knock her back AND knock her up - you just knock her up. When dealing with Sivir's spell shield you actually want to pause long enough that the W triggers the shield and then you can Q her successfully (i.e. W-Q without combo).
Headbutt Pulverise has to be done quickly. Because of this, the spellshield often doesn't go down in between.
The thing about spell shields is that it is possible for them to block more than one spell at a time, but the spells have to hit the spell shield at very close to the same time as each other.
So, when you're doing the Headbutt+Pulverize combo with Alistar, the Pulverize will hit the target pretty much immediately after, if not at the exact same time as the Headbutt, and because of this, Sivir (or anyone that has a Banshee's Veil) will be able to block bot the Headbutt and the Pulverize with a single spell shield.
