Ornn W not applying brittle if displaced during the end of breath

Laned against rammus and he knocked me back with Q multiple times after i W:d towards him and he didnt get the brittle debuff despite remaining in the W aoe.

Isn't it the last bit of the animation ("Gout" of flame I think it says on the tooltip) that applies the effect, or am I just tripping?

Yea, and i feel like i got hit during it and the fire breath stopped prematurely without applying brittle.
