Intermittent ping spikes

Ever since the update, I've been getting intermittent ping spikes. Normally I'm stable at around 60-70 ping... but ever few minutes, I get a tremendous 1000 or so spike. This was not happening pre-patch, and I don't know for sure but it seems like my opponents are experiencing the same spike as I get it.

This makes the game incredibly frustrating to play.
