Champion Select Lag

Champion select for me is having issues. And I'm the one getting punished!! The last two matches on my client that I tried to get in my champion select lagged. The first match it said I still had 20 seconds to pick a champion but it timed out in real time causing the 5 minute penalty. The second match it lagged during the 2nd round of draft picking. It did it so badly that I timed out champion picking (as 3rd pick) when it showed me as still banning. It seems to only happen when i'm entering a match with other people. I just soloed a match and it worked fine so that could be a factor. It's really annoying though and I'm afraid to ranked for fear of losing LP!!!
