This is the error message I keep getting after five minutes of watching LOL championship:

SOMETHING WENT WRONG WITH REWARDS—TRY REFRESHING

I refresh and it says:

WATCH REWARDS ARE CORRECTLY SET UP FOR YOUR ACCOUNT

But five minutes later it says this again:

SOMETHING WENT WRONG WITH REWARDS—TRY REFRESHING

Just run a muted vod in the background and it will count towards it. for some reason with live streams it has an issue

I had the same problem using chrome, I was also running ad block. I then ran it in incognito mode with no ad block. Worked from then on.
