Shouldn't Sivir's E block Nasus's E?

I was playing Aram when I was playing Sivir and Nasus was at the opposite team. AP Nasus hurts with max E, and I ended up taking half HP even though I definitely spell shielded. Is this intentional or a bug?

I'm sure that you have to spell shield the actual damage instead of the ticks afterwards. If she isn't properly spell shielding the burst damage of Nasus's E, then it is a bug indeed.
