Game crashes going into load screen

I'm currently having an issue with the load screen. I can open League itself, and I can enter champ select and do all of that smoothly. However, once it goes to load screen it just disappears. I can click the riot symbol in the lower right corner of my desktop, but it opens me up to the reconnect screen. When I click reconnect it disappears again, and loops that way. My friend told me he's having excessive lag issues, but he can get into game. I restarted the computer, checked for updates, checked for potential firewalls that might bar me from loading, and even logged into my smurf account. The smurf account experienced the same problems as my main account. I'm the only one of my friends who have been having this issue today. I'm out of ideas on what to do. I'm open to suggestions.
