Game still in progress during champions selection screen

I decide to go into a game and I accept. Instead of a champion selection screen I got game still in progress. When it was my turn to pick (I know because there's sound that happens when it's your turn to pick) it stayed like that. I couldn't pick because the client is saying "Game still in progress". So I got a X on my promotion series.
