Project tokens not updating correctly

My tokens seem to update slow. Every time I complete a match, I get the tokens I would have gotten from the previous match. I switch between TFT and ARAM a lot. Sometimes it stops updating and will start updating a couple matches later. I feel like I have lost some tokens due to this.
