random updates in the middle of ranked

i will be in the middle of a ranked game and my pc will restart so i wait the open league. when league opens it says something about going to an older patch
and it will let me login. when i login it makes me wait till the current patch is installed and by the time this is finished the game is over and i get leaver buster
