Bug with Poppy, heroic charging through the base gates?

Hello,

About a week ago I was playing Poppy in a classic game. At one point, we were fighting outside of the wall between the inhibitor turrets and the jungle(I think it was blue side of the jungle on red side of the map). Anyway, I went to hit my heroic charge on an enemy to push them into the wall for a stun. What happened instead was that I went(along with the enemy champion) through their gate. I'm fairly certain(but not 100%) that they weren't stunned, since I didn't technically hit them into a wall. I was pretty shocked, though, because I wasn't expecting it.

I'm not certain if this is a bug, but it seems a little incongruous. I wouldn't have normally been able to go through the gate into their base, but since I hit heroic charge I was able to. I don't know if this occurs with any other champions. I can't think of any skills off hand that work the same way as Poppy's heroic charge.

I'm pretty sure heroic charge checks the enemy's collision for the stun, and since that wall is open space for their team, he just passed through with you in tow.

I'm imaging since it was their base gate, it doesnt count as a wall for them, and since you were "attached" to them, you went along with them through a gate you can't normally pass through like if you had jumped over a wall. Have you tried this to see what happens on your own base gate?
