Xayah Q from Behind

So in a recent blin pick match, I was Sion support against a Xayah Rakan lane. Maybe it was jist my end, but when Xayah Q'd, the feathers wouldn't fly out from in front of her. Instead they came from behind where she targeted. So she would Q and suddenly feathers stab me in the back and land in front of me.

Not sure if the replay would show it, but I think I recorded it with Shadowplay. If I did, I can try uploading a clip. Unfortunately, none of my team mates answered when I asked if it was just me seeing it.
