Aurelion Sol's Orbiting stars and flips

A few days ago I was playing a game as against and , I noticed something rather odd.

If Morg were to shield Sol before I tried to flip him, or rather I went to flip him while he was spell immune from her shield, it still would have one sure effect and one that was only occasional. A) His orbiting fragments would retract like he had just been flipped. (hHappened each time I tried to while he was shielded) B) Occasionally he would still be stopped from moving for the amount of time he would normally be airborne.

It was just one game on ARAM but luckily Morg shielded him enough I got to test it a few times.

Thanks for anyone who looks into it. It was funny but I get that it would still happen if he had had on when it happened.
