Gifting limit reached after 1 snowball icon.....
After reaching my limit yesterday, I tried to gift again today but the store just says I reached my limit after gifting away 1 icon.................................... >.>

Maybe you were trying to gift someone that already had all 4? If someone has all 4 they can't be sent any more. Ask them if they have them all, or try sending to the next person.
As far as I know the limit isn't "X per day" (currently 20 for the duration of Snowdown). Well it is, but it's more like "X per 24 hours." So say you start gifting at 5:00 PM, give out 5 things then at 7:00 PM you gift the other 15. The timer resets on the 5 you gifted at 5 PM the next day, but the other 15 are still "on cooldown" kinda until 7 PM.
Basically, the gifting count doesn't reset at 12 AM PST when the new day starts, but rather 24 hours after each gift.
