cant pick a side for the event please help riot

i has been since the day the patch hit and i still cant pick a side. my screen is black and unable to have any of the pictures load on the home screen, ive been through all threads with the same issue but never was a good answer given to the fix. i have uninstalled, i have patched, i have updated java, ive done almost all i can at this point and i feel like the issue wont be resolved before the event ends so is there a way you can just make people pick a side via the lol homepage and just have it link to the account?

I am literally having the same problem also! As of today I have gotten the latest updates and no improvements. I don't know how to properly report this or how to fix this. It is very annoying because of the current event going on. I can play games just fine, check the marketplace, and everything else but the homepage. I would like to be able to check on my event progress without having to log onto someone else's laptop to check.
