Greater Quintessences of Frosty Health and Rune limit

I purchased the Greater Quintessences of Frosty Health at the reduced price during a holiday event. These runes are identical in function to the Greater Quintessences of Health and give 26 Health per rune. The problem comes that I am still given the option to purchase Greater Quintessences of Health for the standard price from the shop. All other quintessences cap out at three where they are then not able to be purchased. I would hope that I would not be able to accidentally waste IP for runes that have the same stats which I already own the maximum number allowed.
