(Annoying Client bug) go straight back to lobby after accepting a game

So basically, there's times when I start a game with friends and I accept the game. But instead of going to the character select screen like what should happen, I go straight back to the lobby where you invite friends to join you in the game. This seems to happen mostly when I create a game with friends or when I start a game right after I previously played a game, and I can't give a perfect step by step explanation of this as it seems to be fairly random, happening around once every 3-5 times. It never seems to happen with the first game I play after I log on. I was wondering if this happens to anybody else or if it was just me, but it is a bug that is a huge nuisance to me...

I faced this problem several times recently and believe me it still happens quite often, but I was able to find a solution to it! I hope it works for you as well :D

This problem usually happens when you hit "Accept" in queue and you alt tab out of the game to do whatever else you're doing. At least, that's how it bugs out for me.

How I fix this problem, when I am still in the main menu, I hit "Play" at the top of the screen, and just queue up (by myself NOT with teammates), it will have a pop-up window saying that you are already in champ select. Click "OK". Keep doing this process until the "OK" button darkens and freezes and it should take you straight to the champ select.
