Mac FireWall Crash [CRASH]

Hello! So after patch 4.21 I was trying to play a normal game. I was able to get past champion select and then I got a weird message from the loading screen. Instead of going into the loading screen, there was just a blank black screen. It sat there for a few minutes and then a popup came up stating; " Unable to connect to the server. If you have a firewall, it may be blocking the connection. Please refer to your firewall's documentation. Would you like to retry the connection " [Cancel/retry] No matter which option I press the black screen sits there until I shut my Mac off. When I try to reconnect I get the same error again.

The following day I was put into " Low Priority Que" when I came back, and tried to play again. This time I was able to play a couple normal and Teambuilder games. I played another Normals game today with no problem. I tried to play another one right after, and the Firewall error occurred again.

  1. Select a champion
  2. Game Launches
  3. Black screen frozen, no champion portraits appearing.

This appears to occur randomly, I have already checked my firewall settings.

Same here! I'm really pissed off that i'm being punished for something I didn't intend to do, RIOT.

I started a duo ranked with my friend on my iMac and then this firewall issue comes about. I switch to my Macbook Pro and same issue. I then go through the process of resetting my WiFi and that fixes the entire issue. (took about 20min of gametime) Caused me to be punished, putting me into Wood div. 5 which then led me to the same exact issue again with the firewall pop-up...

Please fix this issue, RIOT

Usually restarting the LoL program works for me however, lately it has not been working at all. When will this be fixed? I do not want to get banned because of a faulty system.

I have found a fix (however temp it is) that has worked for ALL users so far. And no I am not a promoter of the site (will prolly work with any con service, this is just one I saw recommended for league that also has a free trial)

So this began happening again recently. I had thought it was fixed but no worries! For some reason if you keep spamming space/enter/delete on your mac keyboard it works. I can confirm this works for me, tried multiple custom games without pressing anything, and multiple games spamming keyboard buttons. I have no idea why this works.
