I was playing a game of flex with some friends, and my computer ended up blue screening. I connected within 5 minutes, And I still lost LP. I came back right away and it still counted against me. I understand the use of this system, but you shouldn't be punishing people like me that gets a bluescreen or accidentally closes league.

Blue screen means something is wrong. Fix it before you que up and you lose no LP. Pretty much that simple.

It's a blue screen. Do a diagnostics. It never happened before because nothing was wrong. It happened so something is wrong.

Ok so it's bad luck. RIOT don't know. They have to take it or it will be abused. That is the game. Either deal with it or don't play. It's not rocket science.
It doesn't change the fact that he has a problem and should resolve it before queing back up.
