While playing Sion on Summoner's Rift, I came across a game breaking bug. I was unable to use my Q ability or R ability. The game started out normal, and I was able to use all of my abilities until around the middle to the end of the game. I was unable to use my Q and R ability. I even clicked the abilities to try to use them. Despite being unable to use my Q and R ability, I was able to use my W and E abilities still.
I had this happen to me right after the new Sion came out. I did a "self cast" of the abilities and then they worked fine. Basically you hold down ALT and press the ability button/icon. Hope this helps!
Can you replicate this in a custom game? This is the first I've heard of this.
from what i remember when other champions had similar issues it was because of a champion on the other team.
so what other champions were in the game with you guys when it happened?
Luckily I was just in a bots game, but yeah my q on Vi refused to work sometime around 25 minutes and tried switching hotkeys which then made my w unusable which was the one I used for the 'q' ability. What I did later was put quick cast on, tried it, switched back to notmal cast and it was back to normal. I don't believe my method was surefire and bugs that appear mid game seems very flukelike (which might be hard to track in the code). Sorry if I can't replicate it. Only had Vi for FR
I had the same thing happen to me. I posted about it here also but this one was first. It just happened to me yesterday. Same thing. Not sure what triggered it (maybe a silence while channeling Q) but I lost the ability to Q and R completely. There is no response from the client whatsoever. The abilities aren't greyed out or anything, Q and R just go dead.
I've read a few of these threads, seems to be linked to Merc treads or enchanting mercs? I only played Sion a couple times but never built mercs.
I will try to replicate it, but thinking on it now someone mentioned mercury treads with enchantments might have something to do with it.. maybe.

This has happened to me as well. I am unsure as to what triggers this bug, but 20 minutes or so into a game the q and r will no longer activate his abilities, however, the keys still worked for typing and when dead, would give a the "Cannot use right now" notification
Not sure if it was mentioned before, but were you capable of using your Q and R ability, OP?
