Akali Shroud (W) Causes FPS To Drop

Whenever an Akali in any of my games uses her shroud (w) it seems to drop my frames just a bit, enough to be annoying and look janky. Anyone else having this issue? Running a MSI GTX 970 with latest drivers. I5 4690k. It used to work fine before last patch is the weird part so it can't be my computer, and running the client repair also hasn't fixed it.
