For Anyone Having Trouble With Amanero USB DACs

~~This really only applies to DACs made by Audio-gd - I believe that they are the only Amanero USB integraters for DACs (NFB 2017 series, R2R 2017 series. Not sure about Master series).

Normally when you start up the client with the DAC NOT PLAYING ANYTHING, the client will bug out when being launched and cannot be shut down until you kill it with task manager. In order to log in, you need to kill the client, turn off the DAC, and then open the client, turning on the DAC again after you have successfully logged in.

This is one solution; however I have noticed that this really only happens when the DAC is NOT playing anything. Whenever data is passed through the USB driver/DAC, the League client will not be unresponsive. So opening the client while playing music seems to be the solution, at least from what I observed.

My guess is that the client is not too happy with passing through its own audio by itself through the USB Driver and needs something else that is already going through the DAC. Of course, I cannot be sure of this since I am not a developer and I don't know how Amanero made their driver, this is just a guess from what has happened.~~

EDIT: So I found the problem. The NFB 11 (and all Sabre DACs for that matter), are able to output 32 bit 384000hz audio. League of Legends (and many other programs such as PlaysTV) are only capable of 24 bit audio (probably 192000hz).

I suggest setting the Windows settings to 24 bit 192000hz and use another program such as Foobar2000 with Wasapi in order to get 32 bit 384000hz if you really want to play 32 bit music (because you have them for some reason). Wasapi will prevent you from hearing any other sound though so I wouldn't play League and use Foobar at the same time. Also no other sounds will play probably unless you STOP THE MUSIC COMPLETELY ON FOOBAR, pausing will not do anything.

Alternatively, just use Foobar2000 (or your favorite program) to play music normally at 24 bit 192khz without WASAPI so that you can listen to music and play League at the same time and still be a detail whore (I guarantee you that you cannot tell the difference between 24 bit 96khz and 24 bit 192khz, let alone 32 bit 384khz).

Just make sure not to set the audio passed 24 bit 192khz otherwise the client will open and refuse to go to the login menu

Why is this the only information i can find on this issue?

I also have a DAC capable of 384/32 and this is the first program that I've had issues with.

I have just spent hours trying to repair, reinstall and trying to load league with different programs closed to fix the issue of the game not loading and also being unable to close league through task manager (it kept loading itself back after trying to end it in the task manager, forcing me to restart my PC every time).

Couldn't some warning box be added or more information provided if the game doesn't support certain settings? I don't think it's acceptable for people to waste hours of their time troubleshooting simple problems like this for a game of this magnitude.

Found this the hard way..

Opened supportticket and gave them this essentially

Using Topping DX3 Pro

Adding some keywords here: Black screen If you use 32bit sound 352800HZ or higher the client does not load. Must select 192000Hz 32bit or lower and it works.
