Sometimes his soldiers attack (the animation shows) but deal no damage. Also sometimes they are ordered to attack, the sound triggers, buts theres no animation or damage. Not sure about the conditions for it to happen, but usually right after summoning them, or using Q, or changing target.

Also not sure if its intended or not, but if you use your q next to a wall, like doing golems, and you right click on one side (like on top of the golem), if you have multiple soldirers, one will eventually go to the other side of the wall.
