I was stuck in the loading screen for 9:50 or so and the ranked game ended with 3 afks and I lost 17 lp and got a dodge timer for 20 mins? Can someone please explain wtf just happened and if so is there anyway to get my lost lp back?
Similar situation just now. Started a game with 3 people afk, one of them in the same room (so the internet connection was presumably good at least for my friend). My friend managed to reconnect after restarting computer but two players remained afk until we surrendered. One oponent was afk at the beginning as well. Doesn't seem like a coincidence. Is it possible to get lp back?

Alt + tabbing during loading screen will d/c you because crappy coding, there is no way to get your lp back.
Stuff like this has happened to be before, one time I won 2 games but didn't get any LP for that, and riot refuses to admit that they have shitty connections and won't give back LP, although they said they will give ip.... Whoop Dee Fuckin Doo.
90% of the time, it's on your hardware or internet.
Did the screen freeze?
I've had a few instances (few and far between) where my ping would still be bouncing around (so client didn't freeze), but I would get into game 3-5 minutes late.
EDIT: Actually, the only time I ever got smacked by leaver buster was because of this. XD
I have crashed when trying to tab out while loading a match many times, but more frequently as of late. I won't tab out now if I'm playing, I just keep the client up front. It could be in the coding, because this has happened on multiple computers / networks for me.
Hell I had a game the other day where I dodged cause game froze.
Long story short... the game proceeded with out me. and I ended up having to play a champion with no ability to select runes or masteries.
I dodged but didn't dodge? I was happy i was ad the game before and was playing an ad champion <.<
This has happened to me too! I was sitting on the loading screen and after a while I figured something was probably up so I restarted the client, and we were 13 minutes in. Still won the match because I got a major carry apparently, but got hit with the leaverbuster for it.
