unknown DirectX error

so every time i try to play a game i get the message "An unknown DirectX error has occurred and League of Legends cannot start. Please make sure your video card is using the latest video drivers from the manufacturer.

I have already: restarted computer checked video adapters (up to date) deleted Config file deleted lol patcher deleted lol launcher reinstalled virus scan check firewall from preventing

if anyone knows how to fix this help please
