Can't read any text during gameplay

so..after I finished downloading the 5.5 patch I started to play and everything was fine. Then during gameplay I noticed that i couldn't read anything! The dialog box, the missions, the item's descriptions NOTHING. It just looked like gibberish and weird mixed letters. At first i was like "okay i'll play another game or two to see what's up" and the exact same thing happened. Is this happening to anyone else? Because if my team mates need to tell me anything I have no idea what they're saying. Any advice? And is this something that happens often to other people? Thanks guys!
