My MMR from normals to ranked.

I am currently playing my placements for ranked, and found I had lost most of my games. Why? Because in normals I got placed against bronzes, destroyed in mid or top, and easily won the game because of it. When I go into ranked however, I see loads of gold and silver borders. I haven't practised against gold players in normals and therefore get crushed by my lane opponent, go 0/12 with 20 cs at 20 mins, and lose the game with my whole team saying 'gg mid fed' please can anyone tell me if this is a bug or if riot actually wants players playing in ranked at a skill level they can't practise on.

The system starts you out at low silver. Once you lose some games it'll drop you down to bronze. Just be patient and keep trying your best.

Ok.I do think that one of the main problems was the champ I was laning against lol. The 2 games I lost were against malz and I thought his laning phase was weak so I played aggresive early champs like zed. I was wrong to do that so I fed early. My fault rly :P

Yeah, Malz can shut down most melee mid laners. I strongly recommend using the site champion.gg. It can give you advice on how to build champions and lets you know what a champion's win rate is against other champions. They only take the stats from plat+ games so you know you're getting the best info from the best players in the game.
