Yo, Rito how long am I going to see the message that my friend opened a gift I sent?

I sent a gift about 2 weeks ago and every single time (without fail) that I get on I have a message that he opened a gift from me. Is there something I need to do to get it to actually go away? Or is it going to be there forever? Because it is honestly every single time I login.
