Champ select issues

In the old champ select, I would just alt tab when it wasnt my turn and do other stuff on my computer (i only have one screen). When it was my turn, my league client would conveniently POP UP and then I would do my bussiness(i.e. pick/ban etc). HOWEVER, now when I tab out, LEAGUE DOES NOT POP UP. Instead, the icon will start glowing in my taskbar, only to notify me THAT I HAVE DODGED QUEUE? What is this? I cant invest all my attention to the champ select and stay glued onto it at all times. Can you please reincorporate the old mechanic PLEASE?
