[Gameplay Bug] Mordekaiser's ranged ghost walks in melee range to buildings before attacking them

Hi there, gentlemen and fine ladies.

'Tis my duty today to report this 100% reproductible annoying/gamebreaking/pesky bug with Mordekaiser Mordekaiser's ultimate, Children of the Grave.

When you obtain the ghost of a ranged enemy (like Caitlyn) and order them to attack a building, they will walk up in melee range to said building before attacking (thus losing their range superiority).

Steps to reproduce : Kill a ranged enemy with Mordekaiser's ultimate on them to obtain their ghost, then Alt + Click (or press R) to order them to attack a building. They will walk up to the building in melee range before attacking.

However, it is to be noted that the ghost operates normally otherwise (i.e. they will attack non-building enemy units at a distance if they can).

Issues : You will lose precious seconds while your ghost walks up to the tower (or Nexus !) and that makes it very hard to protect it.

Frequence : I've encountered the issue every time the situation arose. I do not know when the bug appeared, as I've picked up Mordekaiser only recently (a bit after the "rework") and the bug was already there. I clearly remember having no issue before the rework.

How to repair : I'd say look up the ghost attack IA, there must be a special clause with buildings that doesn't run the right way.

Also:

  • Azirs ghost can't be controlled
  • When Ulting the enemy, it wont channel if enemy hides into bush. ( I though it was instantaneous?)
  • Ghost rather attack NPC (jungler creeps) rather than the champion i click him too...
  • Using R to control ghost doesn't register sometimes
  • Among many other things...

Never gonna get fixed together with Galio's ult that I've been reporting for years. Not meta : Not priority.

yeah I've played him a lot recently and I noticed it.

But it's very old, like all champions's ghost who just can't target inhibitors ...

Ghosts are always stupid with there movement... so annoying when I command ghost to attack and its just walking around not doing anything and I have noticed the range walking up to tower glitch so often!

...wait so it was not me messing up with commands, or some funky bug that delayed movement? AND I PLAYED HIM FOR 3 YEARS WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT A BUG?

This bug has been out for a long time, but Riot hasn't fixed it. Mordekaiser actually has a LOT of bugs that haven't been fixed.

You know, I thought it was just me messing up the r commands, because that is not outside the realm of possiblity. I am glad this was noticed and I am glad someone else knows the power of Huedekaiser right now

Yeah Morde sadly has a lot of problems. Overall pet movement for all champs is pretty bad. His real problems are cast times though. His E has quite a bit of cast time but his ult is just ridiculous. I often hear the sound of the ultimate and then proceed to get obliterated because it did not activate because the enemy went out of sight or something 0.5 seconds after I activated it (slight overexaggeration).
