How is it possible to make SO MUCH money, and still have so many broken things in client??

Like for real, If I can feed a family of 4 on minimum wage, then there is no reason that you can't get the client to work right when you make billions a year....How long is the death recount going to be broke? How Is it that in a 3's game a blue caster minion is 2nd highest damage to me in that 3v3 team fight?? How come my client times out like 2-3 times every time I'm trying to find a game? How come when I look at recently played to see another persons profile, it shows me people from the games I was playing last night, rather then the games I'v been playing today. Maybe spend less time catering to 12 year old kids with your tattle tale report system, and less time turning Zac pink with the most worthless chromatic ever, and fix the little buggy issues in your client.

You don't understand how computers work do you? Actually outside of construction I can't think of a single job where you can actually throw money at a problem until it works, so I'll rephrase my question; you don't understand how money works do you?

The issue at Riot with implementation and fixing issues has absolutely nothing to do with:

  • Money
  • Time

It has everything to do with

  • Terrible prioritization
  • Bad management
  • Too much focus on E-sport with balance and revenue (skins, physical merchandise, etc)

People always say "Yeah well x team doesn't take away time from y team. They are completely different" That is wrong.

When a focus is on say, a new skin and some physical merchandise for example or a rework or visual update, that can take time from the narrative team to do stories, the music and visual departments to make videos, the web team to work on "special websites", balance teams to focus on changes (like with gangplank). Everything they are working on has to come to a halt to get stuff done asap.

The team working on other systems have to completely stop to work on and fix the new HUD, not because it specifically was a priority, but because riot wanted it finished in time for Playoffs in all regions (this is a fact, not an assumption. Teams have been complaining about ranked being the old HUD yet challenger teams for example having to play on the new HUD for the promotion tournament, etc etc. Not because the HUD is bad, but because it is only on normals on Live).

They will drop everything to work on something for e-sport balance, you guys don't even know the amount of times the skin team has had to tweak or fix skins because they cause issues that we don't realize on live, but said skins are banned in the LCS, so the skins team has to take time from new skins are actual fixes, to fix these issues that aren't even addressed to the public.

Basically and tl;dr, the issue isn't money related, it is Riot's bassackwards priorities and terrible managing so many areas.
