Game crashes before loading

When attempting to start a game everything goes smoothly until i finish champion select. When the game should put me into the loading screen, i'm instead greeted with a black screen. after a few moments waiting and hoping, it tells me that I have lost internet connection (which I haven't because I'm using Ethernet) and sends me back to the client with a message telling me the game crashed and a reconnect button. This has happened to me before, and I solved it by reinstalling, but this time it did not change anything
