There was a problem patching lol...

This is my Problem: "There was a problem patching league of legends. we'll restore a backup version and try updating again after you restart the patcher."

I've gotten this message twice now and its forced me to restart and I cant even truly say it re-patched because I never saw the patching indicators all it did was force me to close re-open see the arcade log-in theme where the client then restarted again to current ornn log-in theme where I can finally re-log. I also feel pretty safe to say that there was no new patch on 8/24/17 yet.

truthfully this weird interruption hasn't affected my gameplay yet but I haven't been in champ select with this yet and hope never to be. i'm gonna end this with i'd like to know if this is a my side thing or a patch problem and if it is my side how do I fix this? help plz.
