Connecting to chat? [CLIENT]

My friends and I have been trying to play a game for half an hour now but cant get into the same lobby because our friends list wont load were getting an you've been disconnected from chat, attempting to reconnect. we've attempted relogging same problem and because its three of us from different locations I have to assume it's not us but a problem with the clients communication with the server. Also here is a visual of whats going on click here

Mine isn't showing or loading either. Tried relogging, restarting my computer, nothing :\

Click the gear on the top right by your profile picture, then click "Initiate Full Repair". This fixed it for me, hopefully it fixes it for you too.

Yeah same issue here... No change to the status board yet but I've submitted a bug report.

Same chat issues happens to me. I think the chat is disconnected because of server problems.

Did any of you guys find a solution? I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I am on patch 9.17 right now and this is very annoying!

I even submitted a ticket and got no answer.

I HAVE A FIX TRY THIS

Go into RIOT GAMES Folder. DELETE just RIOT CLIENT folder NOT League of Legends. Once you delete that, go into league of legends folder then click League Client. Do the update and it should work.
