Client Randomly Freezes Up When In Queue

Just like the title says, when queue pops and I hit accept it sometimes it'll just freeze on that screen and then in the dimmed background I can see it says a player declined the ready check. So I sit and wait and nothing happens so eventually I have to end task, because that's the only way to close league when this happens. However when I come back in, I get a dodge timer saying I recently abandoned a game in champ select and must wait. This sucks even more so when it happens and I'm in a ranked queue, losing LP for it. SO far it has happened 3 times. Nothing appears to be wrong on my end and this client has always been plagued with bugs/weird interactions. Only thing is this one can actually cost you LP lol . Anyone else have this happen?

wish a riot guy would look at this and see what might be causing this

I have a problem with freezing in queue as well, but it can freeze on 1 second into queue or 1.5 min, its completely random. Sometimes I can hear the queue pop even tho everything is froze up and sometimes I can't. I just do "End Task" in task manager on the league app (not the background process) and it re-loads the client. Very annoying :(

Have tried re-installing, repairing, using the Hextech repair tool, re-installed on another hard drive, GPU drivers, OS format and probably something else as well. Would be great to get help with this.

EDIT: worth noting is that the app shows 100% GPU usage in Task manager as well when this happens, but I mean I do have an Asus Radeon RX 5700XT.

I have the same Problem: My client freezes sometimes when i am in queue and my GPU usage spikes up to 100%. i also have RX 5700 XT and this issue only occurs since i switched my GPU. also when i switched back to my gtx 980 it wokred again with no freezes

wish we could get a rioter to see this and maybe give us some more insight int what might be affecting us 5700xt users. I only have this issue in League and no other games, its so odd

Hi, i have the same problem on my RX 5700XT and i found a solution. When your game freezes, open task manager, find LoL processes tree, open the dropdown and end the process League of Legends (32-bit) pic here. Your LoL should be working correctly now. :)
