Client loads new game, but without cursor on screen

Client loads, but I don't have a cursor visible in game. I have to restart my computer because ctrl alt del keeps landing back in the game, won't let me close. Restart comp and usually that's fine (except I miss the first two minutes of gameplay) and this time it just says "Game still in progress" but doesn't load. I'm gonna get leaver buster and it's this piece of shit client that forces a restart, and then the same piece of shit client denies a reload.

How, with all the problems people have, are they not ironing out the wrinkles in rejoining a game? fuckwittery.
