  • Description: Skipping and stuttering when activing non smart cast skills and attempting to move. Sometimes even not making the character move around.

  • Steps to reproduce: Move champion and attempt to activate any casted indicator skill

  • Expected result: Game should not studder when clicking around and moving when trying to activate casting indicators.

  • Observed result: Consistant splitsecond stuttering and movement commands breaking, and not operating correctly.

  • Reproduction rate: 10/10 this happens consistently and constantly.

  • System specs: Intel Core i7 3740QM, HD7970M, 12GB DDR3 @ 1941mhz, 2x 60GB SSD+750GB HDD

Watch the video carefully at 60FPS and you will see an issue with stuttering and movement commands not working.

This bug started this morning(after the patch), and is really screwing up my gameplay and I've asked others and they seem to be having the issue as well

I believe it has something to do with right clicking while casting abilities. I noticed that when I right click to move that it cancels the ability and "stutters" as seen above, especially when right clicking rapidly.

this patch has several bugs related to casting abilities. i noticed this one in a game just now when i was playing morgana. my q ability would flash just like in the video.

Auto attacks are also really annoying right now. Alot of champions will stop the auto attack even if the animation finished, dealing no damage.

Some of these champions did not have this problem before this patch.

Pathing also seems to have gotten worse, but that has been bad since 5.1, so, ye.

There is also a bug with canceling abilities too. This patch was not optimized.

Riot please fix this issue quickly as we can clearly see it is affecting a lot of people, including me. I first noticed it when I was trying to use Bard Cosmic Binding and it was stuttering or simply not allowing me to cast it. It never happened to me prior to patch 5.7.

As you can see that this bug affects many peoples gameplay, whether you use regular range indicators or smart cast with range indicators. There was nothing wrong with the way it was before. Frankly I don't really feel confident in my play and I wouldn't want to jeopardize my team due to this. I'm gonna just hold off on playing till this bug gets fixed, and I hope I don't have to for another entire patch. :/

I have this problem as well. I use smart cast on all hotkeys with range indicators on. If you're holding down an ability key to aim then want to change where you're moving to and quickly cast a spell a lot of the time you'll be releasing right click when you want to cast an ability. Doing this causes the range indicator of the spell your casting to pop up quick and cancel itself out leaving you with no spell cast.

I've played one game since this patch because of this and in team fights where you're trying to react quickly I could not get my spells off and was mashing my QWER just to get anything out.

I really like the range indicators and use the crap out of them. I want to get some games in but don't want to turn off my indicators!

update: I reinstalled the LoL client and this didn't change the bug. It still skips and causes issues.

I smart cast most of my abilities on the champs i play, certain champs i smartcast certain abilities and others i normal cast.

I have this bug happen alot with numerous champions i own and play on both summoners rift and Howling Abyss, and sometimes it is with the normal cast abilities and sometimes it is with smart casted abilities.

This is in addition to the random fps drops ping spikes dc's that i get and has been happening a lot for the last 2-3 patches where as it was not as bad before.

I was playing a ranked game as Garen last night and I thought I was going crazy or my internet was lagging.

I was having a problem similar to this where sometimes casting Decisive Strike or Courage would either make Garen stutter or just stop moving completely. I was monitoring my ping and checking my connection speed to make sure I wasn't spiking and I didn't see anything unusual.

It only happened during the laning phase which made me believe it was my internet connection, but it is exactly as you have described here.

OMG, so much this! i thought it was my ISP but everything else i played worked fine, i played a ranked as EZ and it was absolutely horrible! i still went 5/2 but it was damn near impossible to do fights! Wish i could mark this and keep a eye on it to see if a Red acknowledges it!
